In 2022, Floortje Dessing and I embarked on an epic adventure as we traveled over land from The Netherlands to Nepal. During our travels, we investigated the intricate relationship between humans and animals. This story delves into the complexities of human-animal relationships, demonstrating the struggles and triumphs of coexistence from the dawn of civilization. Animals have been integral to our development and survival, being hunted, respected and worshipped, and both feared and monetized. In the age of the Anthropocene, we are at a crossroads: the choices we make in our relationship with other species will determine our future. ̌
