About.

Jasper Doest is a Dutch visual storyteller whose work explores how we live within the systems that sustain life on Earth. His photography often revolves around wildlife, the places they call home and the people who live alongside them, while ultimately asking deeper questions about ourselves, about coexistence, responsibility and the choices that shape the world we share.
From tropical forests in Central Africa to the Arctic and pastoral regions in Europe, his stories reveal how the boundaries we draw between people, wildlife and the environments we share are often far less clear than we imagine, even within our own urban environments.
Doest is a regular contributor to National Geographic Magazine, a Senior Fellow of the International League of Conservation Photographers and a WWF ambassador. His accolades include four World Press Photo Awards, and in 2023 he was named Environmental Photographer of the Year by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. He also lectures internationally, including for the National Geographic Live series, and has spoken at venues such as the United Nations Climate Change Conference and the Royal Geographical Society in London.
